Thanks to a leap in technology,
Anglo American Cedar Products is now able to produce the smoothest
tapersawn shakes available anywhere in thickness of 5/8" to
1½". Our new computer guided bandsaws eliminate
circular grooves on the faces and the thick/thin variations
inherent in traditional sawing methods. The result is a 100%
edge grain shake which is highly resistant to cupping and curling
and lays down smoother than any other wood product on the
market. In fact, when we're so convinced of the lasting
nature of these shakes that we've given them a 50 year limited
warranty!

The taper is achieved by angling the cedar block relative to the
saw blade for each cut. Also available in #2 and #3
grades.
